Photos Do Not Lie

"Photos do not lie, but the liars can take photos."

Lewis Wickes Hine, american photographer was born in 1884. He had become orphaned at 18 years old, had to work to study. He studied sociology, worked as a school teacher in Ethical Culture School. In 1905, he visited Ellis, the island. He photographed the experiences of migrants.  

In those years, photography was powerfull and had symboled as "MIRACLE"* 

"If I could tell the stories in words, I would not need to lug around a camera"

In 1908,  he was a photographer in the National Committee on Child Labour1st World War, he became famous. 1940, died at the age of 66.   

He worked in Red Cross in Europe during World War II. He took pictures of the children in the Balkans. After returning to the United States he had started photography in the construction of the Empire State Building.
His photographs taken were effective of correcting the child labor laws in the U.S.
