To My Lonely and Beautiful Country That I Love in Passion

it's raining in İgdebeli  ... Let it rain!It is raining for hundreds of years. What's the difference? However, a hundred years from now, even after only Arab, nor you, nor I, nor the prosecutor, nor officer will live anymore. You know, as the poet says, "Again, many years will pass and there will be no trace  behind me. Tired, dark and cold will encompass my soul."

• Nuri Bilge Ceylan has begun the cinema with Koza. Participated in Cannes, 
• His first long film was Kasaba,  
• In Cannes ,Uzak, has  the "Palme d'Or"  in ("Grand Prix") . Two cousins ​, in the film, were alone and alienated. Muzaffer Özdemir and  Mehmet Emin Toprak who died in a traffic accident and just after the movie,  had got the 'Best Actor Award". This was an historical event in Turkish Cinema.  
• Cannes 2008, has rewarded with "Best Director Award" to "Three Monkeys" and was about great lies of a disintegrating family and the facts about the attempts to stay together. 
• 64 th of Cannes Film Festival has awarded "Once Upon a Time in Anatolia" with  the "Grand Jury" prize.

While "Three Monkeys" has been awarded, he took the the award and used these miraclous words:  "I want to dedicate this award to someone: To My Lonely and Beautiful Country That I love in Passion"
